GUEST BLOGGER SERIES Q&A: DENNI ELIAS OF CHIC MUSE
Tell me about the Fall 12 Helmut Lang / HELMUT essentials you selected.
I paired basics with statement pieces like the Patina Fever Leather Leggings. I love the clean cuts in Helmut Lang’s collection and the shapes and fabrics from HELMUT. I never get tired of those amazing light and loose HELMUT t shirts!
What’s your Jam of the moment?

What’s the last great art show you’ve seen?
The Helmut Newton photography exhibition here in Paris, held at the Grand Palais.
Best meal you’ve ever had was at _____
Apart from my grandma’s meals, definitely Auberge Bressane, a really traditional in the heart of Paris. The best steak and service.
What’s currently trending in your wardrobe?
A combination of PVC and white everything. Specifically PVC shoes, white leather handbags, shoes and clothes for traveling to places such as Paris later this summer.
Who/ What are your main sources of style inspiration?
I think I take inspiration from many things, but I like to interpret and take note of movie characters, novels I read, websites, and many magazines.
What’s NY’s best kept secret?
The Cupping Room in West Broadway for brunch/breakfasts. They make delicious chocolate chip pancakes, French toast and Eggs Benedict that go great with the house coffee and fresh juice and fruit.
Reading any books you can’t put down?
Lately I’ve been reading Haruki Murakami’s  “1Q84.”
Tell us about your “ah-ha” moment that made you start blogging.
Since I was really young (I think 12) , I started collecting, apart from magazines, shoes and vintage treasures. I arrived to a moment where dressing up for school or parties didn’t seem like the right way to transmit this passion, and that was the “ah- ha” moment. I focused all this collecting and expressing myself hobby into a blog!
We can’t get enough of Instagram. What is your favorite filter?
The Amaro filter is great for the vintage/cute effect
Favorite coffee table book you own is _____
"Irreverent" by Carine Roitfeld.
Have any summer getaways planned?
I’m leaving for Hong Kong for the release of the advertising campaign I did in China (so excited about it!) and plan to stay a few extra days to enjoy the amazing city and of course their food!
You never leave the house without _____
Black eye-liner and a pair of sunglasses
Your vice is _____
Buying shoes and trying different types of food all the time.
